What inspired you to open your business in Downtown Kankakee? Downtown Kankakee just felt right. There's something special about being part of a growing, revitalizing community where small businesses genuinely support each other. I was inspired by the opportunity to create a space that brings something meaningful to the area. The Majestic made it even more meaningful, because it's such a unique, creative, and growing hub, and we loved the idea of contributing to that energy while building something of our own.
In one sentence, what makes your business unique? Lunova Soma blends therapeutic, results-driven bodywork with a modern, luxury experience designed to help clients feel better - not just relaxed.
What's your favorite thing about being part of this community? Our favorite thing is how genuinely supportive and connected the community is. People show up for each other, support small businesses, and truly want to see you succeed.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about what you offer? That every service is intentional and results-driven. We're not just here to help you relax — we're here to help you actually feel better, move better, and live with less pain.
If you could describe your business in three words, what would they be? Therapeutic. Personalized. Intentional.
What gap in the Kankakee community were you hoping to fill, and how does your business address it? We saw a gap in truly results-driven, therapeutic care - something that goes beyond relaxation and actually helps people understand and improve what's going on in their bodies. A lot of people are living with chronic pain, tension, or mobility issues without clear answers, and we wanted to change that. Our approach focuses on targeted, intentional bodywork combined with education, so clients don't just feel better after a session. They leave with a better understanding of their body and the tools to continue improving long after they walk out the door.
What has surprised you most about opening here, and what have you learned from the community so far? We see our business as part of bringing new energy and purpose to Downtown Kankakee — creating a space that draws people in, encourages them to slow down, and invest in their well-being. By offering something elevated and intentional, we're helping diversify what downtown has to offer while supporting the idea that this area can be a destination for both self-care and community. Being part of The Majestic, we're proud to contribute to a collective of small businesses that are helping reshape downtown into a place people want to spend time, explore, and come back to.

Lunova Soma is a therapeutic bodywork studio nestled inside The Majestic in Downtown Kankakee, founded by the dynamic husband-and-wife team of Gage and Gabby.
Gage's journey began with a genuine passion for understanding the human body. After graduating with high honors from the Cortiva Institute, he spent years learning alongside chiropractors, acupuncturists, and physical therapists - building an expertise rooted in real, lasting results. But what truly shaped his path was witnessing the impact this work has on people's lives: watching clients arrive in pain, frustrated, or defeated, and leave feeling relief, hope, and like themselves again. After eight years of dreaming about it, he set out to create a space where people feel truly cared for, supported, and more connected to their own health - not just in the moment, but long-term.
Gabby brings her own powerful story to Lunova Soma. Growing up with a father who worked as both a union carpenter and a Reflexologist/Massage Therapist, wellness has been woven into her life longer than she ever realized. Her expertise in marketing, social media, website development, management, and communications became the perfect complement to Gage's vision. Together, they built something neither could have done alone.
Lunova Soma fills a real need in the community: truly results-driven, therapeutic care that goes beyond relaxation.
